The Routes feature lets you explore how people travel between two specific points to better understand route choices.
To use Routes, place the origin and destination anchors on the map at your desired locations. Metroview will display two routes:
The most direct route, shown in blue
The most popular route, shown in orange
Comparing these two routes can help highlight differences between the shortest path and the route people most commonly choose. When the most popular route differs from the most direct route, it may suggest that people are avoiding certain segments or choosing alternative paths, potentially due to factors like infrastructure, topography, or connectivity.
Routes are based on observed activity patterns within the selected time frame, and results may change as you adjust locations or when revisited in the future.
