The Heatmap layer shows aggregated Strava activity overlaid on a map of your area. Brighter segments represent locations with higher concentrations of recorded activity, while dimmer segments indicate lower relative use.
The heatmap is useful for quickly understanding which parts of a network are used most and least often. It can help surface broad patterns of movement, identify heavily used corridors, and provide context for where activity is generally occurring across an area.
Heatmap intensity is relative and reflects activity density within the current map view and zoom level. As you pan or zoom the map, the visualization will update accordingly. The heatmap is intended as a high-level, exploratory view rather than a precise counting or comparison tool.
